We have a Client relationship group dedicated to overseeing the group service performance and strategic partnership for our top tier client base, where we play a key role in supporting our global clients to ensure they have a first class experience when doing business with Citi. Our Digitization and Implementation group works alongside our Operations teams delivering automation solutions to solve for operational challenges. We partner with Citi's innovation labs to drive optimization and overall play a pivotal role in enabling us to transform to achieve our target operating model. Our Technology groups develop and implement a wide range of applications that support the Operations, Change, Design and Implementation groups in providing innovative products and solutions. Securities Settlements Manager Job Description :
The Securities Settlements Manager is responsible for, management, oversight and the timely settlement of security trades. The role is client/broker facing and offers many opportunities for career advancement. The securities settlements teams supports security settlements in over 60
markets across the globe while researching and problem solving issues that are preventing timely settlement of their trades. This is a highly dynamic role in a fast paced environment where the manager and their team are required to adapt to the changing needs of our clients and the business. Responsibilities Overseeing and leading the security settlements team; maintaining a culture and environment where processes, risks and controls are continually monitored with potential risks escalated as appropriate in a timely manner Acting as a key point of contact between brokers, our clients and the businesses we support Supports an expansive and or diverse array of products (Fixed Income, Equity, Convertible Bond,etc) Continued engagement and face off with our business, technology and operations partners Support the development of an effective control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements Supporting management in the implementation of successful people and engagement strategies to help attract, develop and retain a diverse team Coaching and mentoring our people, ensuring effective one to one discussions Follows established procedures to identify problems related to securities settlements that require investigation or research Assists in resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents Provides assistance in the implementation of process improvements Demonstrates an intermediate level of understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, andto exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity Timely management and escalation of all high risk failed settlements, issues or errors, (mostly, but not limited to, post settlement) Delivers reports to satisfy management requirements and support control activities
Qualifications:
BS/BA Degree or equivalent work experience Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment Good analytical skills and positive attitude Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive Strong risk management and control mindset Provides evaluative judgement based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations, draws on diverse range of internal and external sources Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Prior regulatory / risk management / capital markets experience a plus
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Banking, Loans & InsuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
